Welcome to Chile's main private hospital. Using cutting edge technology, Clínica Alemana’s multidisciplinary health care professionals provide diagnoses and medical treatment in all medical specialties.
Clínica Alemana, located at Vitacura 5951, Santiago, Chile, is a branch of "Sociedad de Beneficencia Hospital Alemán", a nonprofit foundation established in 1905.
In the early 20th century, the efforts of the German community in Chile led to the opening of the first Clínica Alemana located on Dávila Street. The hospital , was later sold to a bank workers retirement fund ("Caja Bancaria de Pensiones").
The proceeds of the sale, together with the valuable contribution of the German Evangelical Center for Development Assistance ("Evangelische Zentralstelle fur Entwicklungdhilfe"), were used to build the Clínica Alemana at its current site. The new building opened to the public in 1973.
The farsighted promoters of Clínica Alemana decided to build the new facility in the midst of a pleasant suburban area, now at the heart of Santiago’s strategically-located eastern sector.
