To keep up with the latest trends in Internet communication, Clínica Alemana redesigned the home page of its website (www.alemana.cl) using a more straightforward layout that provides direct access to the information and services it offers.
"The changes to our home page are the result of a global project by Clínica Alemana based on the Web 2.0 concept. The objective is both to deliver the latest information on health and to offer services online, to facilitate access to information and videos and to provide the ability to interact with social networks like Facebook", notes Luis Víctor Delpiano, Clínica Alemana's Assistant Director of Customer Service Platforms.
He also stated that "to achieve this upgrade, the design was modified and the contents reorganized. This allows us to offer a web page that better satisfies patients' needs".
Now, on the upper part of the site's home page, it's possible to find different sections with menus that drop down when you move the cursor over the buttons. On the lower part of the page are daily health articles, dealing with disease prevention and quality of life issues-the characteristics that have made Clínica Alemanas web page a reference source for both the community and the media.
From the home page, one can also access the "Current events at Clínica Alemana" page which talks about the latest health news at the hospital. Finally, on the right hand side of the home page one can gain access to the different services that Clínica Alemana offers on-line, as well as make appointments, get medical exam results and access "My Health Page" ("Mi Página de Salud)". My Health Page is a service launched this year which gives patients access to all of their medical records using just one password.
In this way, Clínica Alemana has provided both the Chilean and foreign Internet communities with faster and easier access to all of the necessary information regarding its various services.
